Boston, MA – In the special election to succeed State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry as the 12th Suffolk State Representative, former Boston City Councillor, and current City Clerk, Maureen Feeney has thrown her support behind Dan Cullinane.

“Dan Cullinane is an impressive community leader who has always had a great perspective on the important things in life.  He exemplifies the model of a good citizen-commitment, caring, and deep involvement in all aspects of his community,” Feeney said. “Dan will make a great representative and his constituents will be fortunate to have him at the State House.”

Cullinane expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, “Councillor Feeney believed deeply in direct, hand-on constituent services and always showed up personally to take an active role on issues facing the district. As a City Councillor, she was a tireless public servant who gave the job everything she had each and every day,” Cullinane said. “I am proud to call Maureen a friend and a mentor and I am deeply grateful to have earned her support and endorsement in my campaign for State Representative.”

Maureen Feeney served as a Boston City Councillor representing Dorchester’s District Three from 1993-2011, serving as the second female Boston City Council President from 2007-2008.
