(BOSTON) -  State Representative Dan Cullinane of the 12th Suffolk district announced today that his re-election campaign has been endorsed by State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry of the First Suffolk district. Senator Dorcena Forry is the former State Representative for the 12th Suffolk district, and currently represents all of the 12th Suffolk district’s Boston precincts in the State Senate.

"As the former State Representative for 8 years, and now as State Senator, I want to make sure the 12th Suffolk district is in good and capable hands and with State Rep. Dan Cullinane, I know it is", said State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry. "He has proven by both his work-ethic and his actions that he is committed to representing and strengthening every community in the district."

“State Senator Forry is a dedicated public servant and an inspiring leader who for years has been a strong voice for the people of the 12th Suffolk district. It has been a privilege working with her both in the State House and in the community to deliver results for our shared constituencies,” said State Rep. Cullinane. “I am extremely grateful to Senator Forry for the confidence she is placing in me and in the job I have done over the last year with this endorsement for re-election. As the previous State Representative for this district, and now as State Senator, her endorsement in this race is significant.”   

Senator Dorcena Forry joins Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Attorney General Martha Coakley, Congressman Mike Capuano, State Senator Brian A. Joyce, Sheriff Steve Tompkins and State Representative Russell Holmes in endorsing Representative Cullinane’s re-election campaign. He has also been endorsed by the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, the Boston Teacher's Union, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, MassEquality, MassAlliance, Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice, the New England Regional Council of Carpenters, and AFSCME Council 93.

The Democratic primary for the 12th Suffolk district is September 9th.
